Spilled Soup Sweater

$9.00

Inspired by my deep love of soup, this sweater is meant to wrap you up while you enjoy all of the best autumnal activities. This sweater started with a single skein of yarn that I HAD to have but didn’t know what to do with.

I dreamed of wearing this sweater to apple picking, pumpkin patches, family meals, and of course to eat soup while working on it. I hope that you will too!

Construction

Immediately after casting on, short rows are worked to raise the back. Colorwork is worked through the entire yoke with increases to shape. After splitting for sleeves, the rest of the chart is worked on the body. After finishing the chart, stockinette is worked with a larger needle. The body is finished with 1x1 rib. The sleeves are put back on the needle and the rest of the colorwork chart is worked. After finishing the chart, tapered decreases are worked with a larger needle in stockinette stitch. The sleeve is finished with 1x1 rib. The neckband is then picked up and worked before being sewn down.
